If you've ever wanted to get an inside look at the Packard Plant on Detroit's east side, Pure Detroit is now making that possible.
Beginning Saturday, Aug. 12, Pure Detroit, in partnership with Arte Express, will conduct the tours at the 5 million-square-foot facility.
The tour will take about 90 minutes, according to Pure Detroit, and will walk about 1-2 miles. It is not wheelchair accessible and people on the tour will have to be able to maneuver around obstacles. You also have to be 18 years or older and sign a waiver.
Tickets for the tour cost $40, and you have to wear closed-toe shoes and long pants, as well as hard hats which will be required.
