FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) — Open bowling resumes Friday across metro Detroit.
It's another step in state's reopening since the shutdown sparked by ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
At "Perfect Game" in Farmington Hills, open bowling, laser tag and arcade games all get back underway. There will be an empty bowling lane between groups to allow for social distancing. Also, guests and employees must wear masks at all times.
"We've been open now for a month for league bowling, so we've gotten pretty good now at learning what is working and what isn't as far as precautions for the pandemic," said Michael Shearer, owner of Perfect Game. "All of our employees are being health screened before they walk in the door for their shift and getting their temperature checked."
Shearer is also the president of the Bowling Centers Association of Michigan.
He's hopeful that the majority of Michigan's bowling centers will survive the pandemic.
