The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a 45-year-old man in connection to a portable toilet peeping incident that occurred last year in Ypsilanti Township.

The suspect is currently being held at the Washtenaw County Jail and is expected to be arraigned on October 1, according to the sheriff's office.

The suspect is from Royal Oak, but was taken into custody in the Ypsilanti area.

Investigators said this incident happened at Wiard’s Orchard on October 10, 2015. There was a race scheduled and the portable toilets were brought in for about 24 hours.

A woman at the event spotted the camera and deputies were called out right away.

"It was definitely aimed to try and get pictures of people,” said Derrick Jackson, the Director of Community Engagement at the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.

Earlier this month, the sheriff's office released pictures of the suspected peeper captured by the camera he allegedly planted.

After further investigation and help from the public, an arrest was made.
