Yu Darvish waited 544 days to troll Justin Verlander on Twitter

(WXYZ) — They say patience is a virtue – so Chicago Cubs pitcher Yu Darvish must be a pretty virtuous guy.

In 2018, Verlander tweeted a response when Darvish slipped on the dirt after rounding second base. It happened on April 27, 2018. Verlander tweeted, "Yu... Not doing a lot here to help us dispel the pitchers aren’t athletes thing."

During the World Series last night, Verlander went for a ball and dove to get it, but as he threw, it hit his own leg.

Darvish responded on Twitter with the same exact tweet.
