DETROIT (WXYZ) — If you'd like your kitchen to smell like you cooked a gourmet meal without having to do the work, Grey Ghost in Detroit has the answer, offering easy meal kits!

Grey Ghost opened in Detroit’s Midtown neighborhood 4 years ago by two Midwest chefs with a vision to blend homey and high-end into one experience.

"Things that are maybe familiar and approachable, with a lot of high end technique behind it. We make everything from scratch," says Chef Joe Giacomino, co-owner of Grey Ghost Detroit.

Now he and his partner Chef John Vermiglio are offering their elevated Midwest comfort food, in take and make meal kits.

"Like our burger kit. It comes with the secret sauce, the bun is sliced for you ready to go! All you have to do is follow these step by step, paint by number instructions and you’re going to get a hot fresh burger at home," says Giacomino.

Place your order online before 3pm and pick the kit up curbside between 2 and 7pm, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

"Each week we change the menu. We’ve gone from meatloaf to bratwurst kits and prime rib," says Chef John Vermiglio, co-owner Grey Ghost Detroit.

"It's safe to say everything can be done with a cocktail in one hand and utensils in the other," says Vermiglio.

Speaking of cocktails, they sell mixers too! From Bloody Mary mixes to their homemade cucumber and ginger sodas.

"Add your favorite bottle of liquor, whichever that may be, they each have instructions on them," says Vermiglio.

So you can still have special evenings in, until you can go out for date night once again.
