(WXYZ) — The Detroit Pistons are once again in the NBA Draft Lottery, which will be unveiled on Thursday night at 8:30.
Detroit, which was one of the eight teams not involved in the restart, will have the fifth-best odds at getting the No. 1 pick, a 10.5% chance, according to ESPN.
This is the second-highest odds the Pistons have had since the NBA introduced the lottery system 35 years ago, but in the 13 times Detroit has been in the lottery, they haven't had good luck.
According to Keith Langlois of Pistons.com, the Pistons have never drawn the No. 1 pick in their 13 times in the lottery, and have only picked in the top three one time. That was in 1994 when they picked third and selected Grant Hill.
The odds for each pick are below.
- 10.5%

- 10.6%

Of the 13 times Detroit has been in the lottery, they have never moved up.
New Pistons GM Troy Weaver will represent the team, just a couple of months after he was introduced as GM.
