DETROIT (WXYZ) -- The Tigers have placed pitcher Daniel Norris on the 15-day disabled list.

Norris left Monday night's game against the Indians in the 3rd inning with a strained right oblique.

In a corresponding move, the team recalled pitcher Buck Farmer from Triple-A Toledo.

ORIGINAL STORY:

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WXYZ) -- Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Daniel Norris left Monday's game against the Cleveland Indians with an apparent injury.

Norris had only pitched two innings, and had walked Rajai Davis when he was pulled. Dustin Molleken relieved Norris.

According to the team, Norris suffered a right oblique strain and will undergo an MRI to find out which degree on Tuesday morning.

He had only appeared in three games this season after suffering from an injury to start the season. He spent some time with Triple A Toledo before getting called up last month.

The injury comes the same day that the team announced Jordan Zimmermann was placed on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to July 1.
