The Tigers last home game of the season against the Cleveland Indians has been postponed until Monday at 1pm due to heavy rain in the area.
The game was scheduled for 1:10pm Thursday afternoon, but shortly before the game the team announced the start would be delayed.
Around 2:30pm, managers from both team and umpires came out to examine the field and determined that the conditions were not playable.
The Tigers remain one spot back of the Baltimore Orioles in the race for a Wild Card, but that could change depending on the outcome of the Orioles game against the Blue Jays this afternoon.
If the Tigers have either been eliminated from contention, or have clinched a playoff berth, the game may not be played. If the Indians are still in contention on Monday for the best record in the American League, there could still be a game.
