AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) -- Ray McCallum survived the final round of Pistons roster cuts on Saturday, and is expected to serve as the team's backup point guard.
Ish Smith is currently Detroit's starting point guard due to Reggie Jackson's injury.
The Pistons released Lorenzo Brown, Trey Freeman, and Mamadou N'Diaye.
Detroit opens the regular season Wednesday in Toronto.
