(WXYZ) — The Detroit Pistons said that Blake Griffin underwent successful knee surgery on Tuesday, just one day after a report said he was considering season-ending surgery.
According to the team, it was a "arthroscopic debridement of his left knee."
The team said that he will undergo an extended rehab period and there is no timetable set for his return.
Griffin has only played in 18 games for the Pistons this season. It's the same knee that he had surgery last season. Last year, he had arthroscopic surgery, but details weren't released.
