"I can't believe really that my name and my jersey is going to go up there with those guys."

Chauncey Billups let it all sink in as he got ready to watch his No. 1 raised to the rafters of The Palace Wednesday night. He said he's most excited to share the occasion with his family and his daughters.

"I just wanted to be the best that I could be. I just didn't know that was my best," said Billups.

When asked about a photo of him and his former teammates having dinner Tuesday night, Billups said when those guys get together it's like no time has passed. He described their reunions as fun and emotional.

There's no doubt the Pistons 2004 Championship team was something special, but Billups said he sees super star potential in some the young guys in this year's roster.

"I'm happy and proud of [Andre] Drummond. I think he's going to be a super star in the league, I really do," said Billups. He added that he's affectionately referred to Drummond as a young Moses Malone.

Billups also praised Reggie Jackson as a young player with All Star abilities, but Billups says both Jackson and Drummond still need the experience that only comes with age and multiple years in the league.
