JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- T.J. Cromer had 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting and East Tennessee State shot 68 percent from the field to beat Detroit 107-78 on Monday night.
The Bucs (2-0) pulled away in the middle of the second half with 13 straight points to lead 84-62 with 8:10 left. They extended it to 96-67 -- their largest lead of the night which was matched by their final margin.
Devontavius Payne added 18 points, Isaac Banks scored 12 and Hanner Mosquera-Perea 10. ETSU made 33 of their 39 shots from inside the arc and 8 of 21 from 3.
Josh McFolley was 7 of 9 from 3-point range with 25 points and Jarod Williams added 16 points for the Titans (1-1).
Detroit had the lead once at 17-15 and trailed by 10 at halftime. The Titans cut it to 58-52 after a 10-4 run but got no closer.
