ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) -- During a media scrum on Friday, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh responded to criticism of his recruiting practices.
Harbaugh had come under fire in recent weeks amid reports of rescinding scholarship offers from players he had previously recruited.
"It's a meritocracy," said Harbaugh. "They've got to continue to perform when there's early commitments, in the classroom, on the field, and as a citizen in their community."
Harbaugh is scheduled to host a star-studded signing day event on Wednesday in Ann Arbor.
