U-M's Hutchins breaks NCAA all-time wins record

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WXYZ) -- Michigan beat Indiana 8-0 in five innings on Saturday to give head coach Carol Hutchins her NCAA record-breaking 1,458th career win.

Hutchins is in her 33rd season as a college coach, and 32nd with Michigan. Her career record stands at 1,458-474-4 overall after Saturday's victory. Hutchins led the Wolverines to a National Championship in 2005.

Following Saturday's victory, fans in attendance unveiled a banner reading "Hail Hutch! 1,458 career wins."
