ROCHESTER, Mich. (WXYZ) -- Oakland University men's basketball assistant coach Drew Valentine is leaving to join the staff at Loyola University in Chicago.
Oakland head coach Greg Kampe announced the move on Friday.
Valentine, who helped Oakland win 48 games as a player, served as an assistant coach for the Golden Grizzlies the past two seasons.
The move brings Valentine closer to his brother, Denzel, who is entering his second season with the Chicago Bulls.
Oakland has announced it will conduct a national search for Valentine's replacement.
