The Detroit Tigers have placed first basement Miguel Cabrera on the 10-day disabled list due to a right groin strain, the team announced Saturday.
Cabrera left Friday's game against Minnesota in the seventh inning due to the strain.
Because of the move, the team brought up John Hicks from the Toledo Mud Hens.
Cabrera has 15 hits, three home runs and nine RBIs on the season, batting .268 with a .834 OPS and .369 OBP.
