Detroit Red Wings rookie Dylan Larkin will miss the first game of his NHL career on Saturday.
Head Coach Jeff Blashill said Larkin will miss the game against the Nashville Predators because of an upper-body injury. He is day-to-day.
Larkin, 19, leads the team with 13 goals and leads the NHL with a plus-21 rating.
In Tuesday's game, Larkin went into the corner boars against New Jersey after a hit.
With the injury, Tomas Nosek will make his Red Wings debut. The 23-year-old was recalled on Dec. 19 and played in 25 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins.
