Though Dylan Larkin did not win the vote to participate in the NHL's Breakaway Challenge for NHL All-Star Weekend in Nashville, he will be in the NHL Fastest Skater challenge.
Larkin, 19, will compete with Brandon Saad of the Chicago Blackhawks, Erik Karlsson of the Ottawa Senators and Kris Letang of the Pittsburg Penguins for the Eastern Conference. The Western Conference skaters have not been announced yet.

The fastest skater competition is among six events where teams compete for points at the All-Star Skills Competition.
Larkin will face an opponent in a two-skater race. The race track is the border of the ice rank split in half lengthways.
Timers will be used to determine the inner of each match, and the skater with the fastest time in the head-to-head matchups will skate a full lap. They will try to break Mike Garter's record of 13.386 seconds. Six points are available for the winner.
You can watch the skills competition on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. on NBC Sports Network in the U.S. and on CBC in Canada.
