ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) -- According to multiple reports, the Lions have fired Vice President of Football Operations Cedric Saunders.

The move was first reported by beat writer Josh Katzenstein.

Saunders spent the last ten seasons with the Lions, coming to Detroit in 2006 from the Buccaneers.

Earlier this week, new Lions general manager Bob Quinn fired the team's longest-tenured scout, Scott McEwen.
