ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) -- The Lions were one of several teams who wasted no time making moves Thursday on the first day of NFL free agency.

Cornelius Washington, defensive end: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Lions have signed Washington, formerly of the Bears. ESPN's Adam Caplan reports the deal is for two years and $6 million, with a maximum of $8 million. Washington told Lions beat writer Dave Birkett he's "tailor-made" for Detroit's system.

Akeem Spence, defensive tackle: Pro Football Talk reports the Lions have signed Spence to a three-year, $10.5 million deal. Spence Tweeted a goodbye message to Tampa Bay.

T.J. Lang, offensive guard: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Lang is visiting with the Lions and Seahawks, but re-signing with Green Bay is still an option.
