Matthew Stafford called his shot.

"I'm going for the paw."

The Lions quarterback pulled back a football, dripping with paint, and threw it directly at his target.

"That's pretty cool."

Stafford has partnered with recycled fiber brand REPREVE to paint canvases with footballs. The finished artwork pieces are being auctioned off to benefit S.A.Y. Detroit Play Center.

In a video released from the company behind the idea, Stafford throws differently painted footballs at the canvases, which were made from recycled materials themselves.

Stafford and his wife, Kelly, committed $1 million to S.A.Y. Detroit, a center focused on creating educational and athletic opportunities for students in Detroit.

The artwork's auctions can be found here, and 100 percent of the proceeds are going to S.A.Y. Detroit.
