Report: Caldwell, GM Quinn have met four times

Posted

Jim Caldwell's future in Detroit has been a topic of hot topic of conversation for months.

Four days into the tenure of new Lions general manager Bob Quinn, it appears we know as much as we did when the team started 1-7.

Caldwell and Quinn have met "at least four times," according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.

"Caldwell has still gotten no indication regarding whether he’ll have a job for 2016," Florio reports.

This offseason, the Browns, Buccanneers, Dolphins, 49ers, Eagles, and Giants have all filled their head coaching vacancies. The Titans job is open, with Detroit defensive coordinator Teryl Austin scheduled to interview on Friday.

The head coaching job in Detroit remains filled, with no indication if Quinn will keep Caldwell around or not.
