9-year old Brody Snyder is finding out that golf...is a difficult game.
His mom, Paige asks her children to try a different activity each summer, and when Brody got to pick his, he looked no further than his old man.
"Well my dad used to play golf when he was in college and high school so I just wanted to go after him," Brody said.
"It's a neat connection so dad caddied in high school, which is kind of funny, and did play golf, not in a serious level but just play and he does own clubs which is exciting," Paige Snyder added.
Have you played with him yet?
"No, I started playing after he left," Brody said.
Brody's dad is currently serving our country in Iraq. But Brody tells me he feels the connection with his dad while working on his game.
"He was rough there with the intent that when dad does get back from serving for us that it was something that they were going to do when he gets back and that was the goal," Fox Hills instructor Joal Harding said.
"My husband was ecstatic because now there is something in the future that they can do together which is really nice," Paige added.
And Brody is already picking up on the secrets of golf, like taking advantage of every edge you can.
Do you think you'll beat him?
"Probably! He hasn't played in a long time!" Brody said.
"He's more than excited jump back in and kind of get that father son thing going when he gets back," Paige added.
