DETROIT (WXYZ) -- Former Red Wings forward and Hockey Hall of Famer Brendan Shanahan is expected to play in the upcoming Red Wings-Avalanche Alumni Game in Denver.
Red Wings writer Bill Roose had the first report on Saturday.
Told that former #RedWings Brendan Shanahan and Boyd Devereaux plan to play in the upcoming #StadiumSeries alumni game at Coors Field.

Shanahan played in the 2013 Red Wings-Maple Leafs Alumni Game at Comerica Park, less than two months after he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Detroit's 2016 alumni roster also includes Steve Yzerman, Nicklas Lidstrom, Darren McCarty, and Chris Chelios, among others.
