Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel was really excited to announce his city will host the 2017 NHL Draft.
He noted that event will join the Frozen Four on the city's schedule that year, and he has no doubts a Stanley Cup will return to Chicago then, too.
He might have gone a little too far.
"Chicago will be Hockeytown!" he exclaimed at a press conference on Thursday.
Detroiters know this is Hockeytown. Look no further than center ice at Joe Louis Arena.
On top of that, the city of Warroad in Minnesota owns the trademark 'Hockeytown USA.'
Stanley Cups may keep coming to Chicago, but as for now, the title is safe elsewhere.
