Jim Harbaugh expresses support for players who raised fist during anthem

Posted

After Michigan's 49-10 win over Penn State Saturday, Jim Harbaugh expressed support for Michigan players who raised their fists in protest during the playing of the national anthem.

The Wolverines who raised their fists are a few of many across the country joining with 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in demonstrating on the sidelines to raise awareness about social and racial injustice throughout the country.

When asked how he felt about his players demonstrating on the sidelines, Jim Harbaugh said "I've been thinking a lot about this over the last four, five, six weeks. Because I am the football coach doesn't mean I can dictate to people what they believe. I support our guys. I think this is something, it's not going away, it's gonna keep happening."
