ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) -- Darius Slay will be the first to tell you that he, at 24-years old, is a kid at heart.

That's why he went to the Lions and asked if he could host a camp to help the next generation of football players.

Over 70 kids that play in Detroit's PAL organization got to work one-on-one with Slay, and teammates Marvin Jones and Alex Carter on all sorts of football drills at the Lions' Allen Park facility.

The kids not only got up close and personal coaching, but lessons on how making good decisions in school and life can help propel them on the football field.

Watch the video above to hear from Slay and Jones, as well as the athletes and coaches on how this type of event makes lasting impressions on these young kids lives.
