Michigan at No. 8, Michigan State at No. 11 in Preseason Amway Coaches Poll

The preseason Amway Coaches Poll from USA Today was released on Thursday, and it has the Michigan Wolverines at No. 8 and the Michigan State Spartans at No. 11 with less than a month until the season begins.

Alabama and Clemson are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 respectively, the same two teams that met in the College Football Playoff in January.

This is the first time since 2012 that the Wolverines have been in the top 10 in the preseason rankings, according to USA Today.

U-M and MSU are two of four teams in the Big Ten ranked in the top 25. Ohio State is ranked fifth while Iowa is ranked 15th.
