Michigan State is paying tribute to Mike Sadler in a prominent way this weekend.
The Spartans painted a No. 3 on the Sparan logo at the 50-yard-line of the football field at Spartan Stadium.
Sadler was killed in a car accident this summer. Mark Hollis waived the normal waiting period to put Sadler in the MSU Athletics Hall of Fame this weekend.
"Mike meant a tremendous amount to this program, and to the people," Mark Dantonio said this week. "Maybe more to the people than to the program with as much success as he had."
"I think Mark Hollis making the announcement shortly thereafter the memorial made a huge statement in terms of what Mike Sadler meant to this university and to its football program."
