Michigan's Jake Butt returning for senior season

Posted

(WXYZ) -- Michigan tight end Jake Butt told reporters on Monday that he was "50-50" on forgoing his senior season and declaring for the NFL Draft.

His decision didn't take long.

On Tuesday afternoon, Butt wrote on Twitter that he will return to Michigan for another year. Butt had a career year for the Wolverines under head coach Jim Harbaugh. He caught 48 passes for 620 yards and three touchdowns.

Had he declared for the NFL Draft, he would have been one of the top tight ends in the draft.
