(WXYZ) -- Hurricane Joaquin is set to the hit the Washington D.C. area Friday. The storm could disrupt the Michigan vs. Maryland football game in College Park.
In the worst case scenario, the storm could bring wide-spread flooding. Weather forecasts have already prompted the Big Ten Network to cancel it's pre-game television coverage plans.
As of Wednesday, the University of Maryland says the game will still take place at Byrd Stadium, and they have no current plans to change venues.
