Michigan State linebacker Ed Davis has been granted a sixth year of eligibility. Head coach Mark Dantonio tweeted the news Friday afternoon.

Davis will be eligible to play in their next game Sept. 17 against Notre Dame. He graduated in August, submitted a sixth year waiver and has been practicing with the team since.
In 2014 Davis started 12 games and made 58 tackles a a junior that season.
