Brian Stuard is a PGA Tour champion.
The Oakland University graduate won the Zurich Classic in a playoff on Monday afternoon, earning his first PGA Tour victory.
Stuard was born in Jackson and graduated from Oakland in 2005.
He had no bogeys in the tournament, which
"It means a lot. It means a lot of support by a lot of people," Stuard told the Golf Channel.
"I don't know what to think right now."
Stuard will earn a two-year PGA Tour exemption, and will play in The Masters for the first time in 2017.
