Red Wings rookie Dylan Larkin and forward Justin Abdelkader have made 2016 World Cup of Hockey rosters. Seven total players from Detroit's roster made the initial World Cup teams.

Petr Mrazek looks to be the starting goaltender for the Czech Republic. Pavel Datsyuk will play for Russia, Tomas Tatar made Team Europe, while Henrik Zetterberg and Niklas Kronwall will play for Sweden.

Abdelkader made Team USA, joined by the likes of Patrick Kane, Ryan Kesler and T.J. Oshie.

Larkin made the Team North America roster -- a team comprised of the best players from Canada and the United States who will be under the age of 23 as of Oct.1, 2016.

Fellow rookie sensations Jack Eichel (Buffalo Sabres) and Connor McDavid (Edmonton Oilers) will also be part of Team North America.

The tournament begins September 17 in Toronto.
