Detroit Red Wings forward Steve Ott has been fined for spearing Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara during the game on Saturday night.
The $2,222.22 fine is the maximum allowed under the NHL's CBA.
Near the end of the first period, Ott speared Chara between the legs which later resulted in a scuffle between the two players.
