The Red Wings will play their first regular season game at Little Caesar's Arena Oct. 5 against the Minnesota Wild.
The NHL announced dates and matchups of all the home openers, with the full 2017-18 schedule to be released Thursday.
The Wings will play their first preseason game at LCA on Sept. 23 against the Boston Bruins.
