The Detroit Red Wings and goaltender Petr Mrazek have agreed to terms on a new, two-year contract. The agreement means the two sides will avoid arbitration.

Reports indicate that Mrazek, 24, will receive $3.85 million the first year, and $4.15 million the year after that.

The native of Ostrava, Czech Republic appeared in a career-high 54 games for Detroit last year, capturing 27 wins and four shutouts.

Since coming to the Red Wings from Grand Rapids a few years ago, Mrazek has compiled a 46-30-8 record, with a 2.29 GAA and a .920 SV%.
