Remembering The Palace of Auburn Hills with Pistons announcer Mason

Posted

The countdown is on. With just a week left in the regular season, people are starting to say goodbye to the Pistons' home: The Palace of Auburn Hills

The Palace has been home to Detroit's NBA team since 1988, and John Mason has been the PA announcer there since the 2001-02 season.

He's known simply as 'Mason' by fans and players, and he's has a front row seat to more than a decade of thrilling Pistons moments.

Watch and listen as he recalls watching his first Championship, the infamous 'Malice at The Palace' and so much more.

The Pistons will play at Little Caesar's Arena in Detroit next season.
