ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) -- According to a report from George Sipple of the Detroit Free Press, Michigan head hockey coach Red Berenson will meet this week with athletic director Warde Manuel regarding Berenson's future with the program.

Berenson, who spoke at the team's banquet Sunday, just completed his 33rd season as head coach of the Wolverines. During his time in Ann Arbor, Berenson has compiled an 848-426-92 record, including two national championships.
Michigan finished the 2016-17 season 13-19-3, losing to Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament at Joe Louis Arena.
