Matthew Stafford's toughness has never been something that's be scrutinized.
And it won't start now.
Matthew Stafford will play against the New York Giants in week 15, says head coach Jim Caldwell.
At the end of the first quarter against the Chicago Bears, on a broken play, Stafford attempted to throw the ball away and while doing so, jammed his finger while making slight contact with Bears linebacker Leonard Floyd.
On Monday, Caldwell admitted that Stafford played through the injury on Sunday, leading the Lions to yet another comeback win.
"It did effect him some yesterday when it first happened, I think you saw that through the course of the game, but he's a tough guy, he battled through it and so now we have an opportunity to work with the doctors and get things straightened out that need to be strengthened out," Caldwell said.
