Injury news during spring training is never a welcome sight.
J.D. Martinez will be out three to four more weeks with sprained lisfranc ligament in his right foot, manager Brad Ausmus told reporters today.
Surgery is not required, but Martinez will have a cast put on for seven to 10 days to allow the ligament to heal.
Martinez injured his right foot making a play in the outfield last Saturday.
