Detroit Tigers designated hitter Victor Martinez was released from the hospital on Saturday after he was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat on Friday.
Manager Brad Ausmus told reporters Saturday that Martinez was feeling a lot better but would be monitored over the next seven to 10 days.
Martinez left the game on Thursday night after suffering from cold sweats, dizziness and a racing heartbeat. He was later taken to the hospital and diagnosed with the irregular heartbeat.
He was placed on the 10-day disabled list Friday and is expected to rest at home while the Tigers go on their west coast road trip Monday.
