Showers will continue to move through Metro Detroit at times through tonight.  Drier weather returns Friday and for the weekend, but cool temperatures linger.

The next couple of nights will bring us the rare chance to see the Northern Lights in southeast Michigan. The better chances will be after midnight.

Hurricane Irma is still barrelling towards Florida. It will likely be a category 4 or 5 at landfall, which is mostly likely Sunday morning, but will start lashing Florida with outer bands Saturday night.

Tonight:  Mostly cloudy, showers likely, isolated thunder. Lows: 48-51 / Winds: W 5-10
Friday: A shower or two possible in the morning then some sunshine during the afternoon. Highs: 64-68 / Winds: N 5-10
Saturday:  Mostly sunny, pleasant. Highs: 65-68 / Winds: NE 5-10
