DETROIT (WXYZ) — Flower Day 2020 will not be happening in the same format this year, the Eastern Market Partnership announced.

Eastern Market is working on safe alternatives for flower shopping throughout the remainder of the season.

The market is working to create an online ordering platform to launch on Sunday, May 24. Customers will be able to pre-order from the market's flower growers for pick-up at the market a few days later.

Additionally, the Eastern Market Partnership will be hosting live stream shows spotlighting flower growers.

Customers can currently purchase flowers at the weekly Saturday Market from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
