BIRMINGHAM (WXYZ) — The doors might be closed at Darakjian Jewelers but they’re still open for business. We’ll show you the unique approach they are taking during what’s usually a busy season.
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, jewelers would usually be bustling right about now. However, the shutdown hasn’t stopped one jewelry store in Birmingham.
“We are here to celebrate life’s great moments, no matter what gets in our way,” said Armen Darakjian of Darakjian Jewelers.
Armen isn’t letting the shutdown get in the way of helping customers buy watches and jewelry. Darakjian Jewelers is located on Willits near Old Woodward in Birmingham.
Spring time is usually a busy time with bridal season and Mother’s Day.
This 56-year-old business is now turning to social media to stay connected with customers. They’ve been hosting live videos on Instagram — even Zoom chats to learn more about their products. If you want to buy a gift, they will give you personal attention.
You can stay connected with Darakjian Jewelers online at their website, or on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
