(WXYZ) — Summer break is here and the heat is on. And you may be looking for a place to cool.

If so, you’re in luck. Chances are you’re not too far from a splash pad or pool to help you and your family beat the heat.

Here are the top 7 according to our 7 Action News viewers.

#7 Lake St. Clair Metropark (Harrison Township)
7th on our places to beat the heat is Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Township. This place is a blast! The pool seems endless and so does the waterside and log flumes. There’s a beach for easy going fun and a playscape for the tikes.

#6 H2O Zone (Westland)
H20 Zone in Westland take the 6th spot. The highlights here are an 18-foot long helicopter 10 feet in the air that sprays water from it’s rotors and a massive dump bucket that will leave you all wet!

#5 Waterford Oaks Waterpark
Float your troubles away at Waterford Oaks Waterpark. The park features palm trees and the kid’s water playground has more than 30 interactive activities. And all of the pools are heated too!

#4 Troy Family Aquatic Center
It comes in 4th place. There are so many things to do: tubes and body slides in the water and out of the water. Try sand volleyball and a sand play area for the kids.

#3 Dodge Park Splash Pad (Sterling Heights)
The brand new Dodge Park has a splash pad that’s the place to be in Sterling Heights. It’s best suited for younger kids. It’s 3rd on our list.

#2 Red Oaks Water Park (Madison Heights)
2nd is Red Oaks Waterpark in Madison Heights. It has a wave action pool, triple-flume waterside and a special space for the little guys. Mariah and her preschool-aged son haven’t tried Red Oaks yet, but they’re looking forward to it.

“Absolutely," Mariah says. “And I know this little guy is.”

#1 Livonia Community Recreation Center
And the number one spot goes to the Livonia Community Recreation Center. It’s 25,000 feet of wet family fun! And it’s going to get even better with a major renovation this summer.

But right now it’s pretty great! Float down the lazy river, or speed down the 250-foot water slide! Or just let the cool water wash over you, it’s no better way to beat the heat!
