What an enjoyable afternoon I had at the recent Historical Society of Michigan (HSM) Conference at the Wyndham Garden in Sterling Heights. Membership and Events Manager Bill Lewis asked me to speak on “The Ghosts of Politics Past: Michigan’s Importance in Presidential Politics." I also attended the luncheon where Sandra Sageser Clark, the director of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, gave a very interesting and informative speech. The HSM is a great way to explore the fascinating history of the Great Lakes State!
