Recently, I had the honor and pleasure of being the guest speaker at the annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. commemoration organized by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Metropolitan Detroit.  The special event was held at the metro Detroit Federation Building in Bloomfield Hills for their employees.

The well-attended audience included Dr. Richard Krugel, president of the JCRC;  David Kurzmann, the new executive director of the JCRC; Allan Gale, associate director of the JCRC and Beverly Phillips, JCRC assistant director of public relations.

I talked about Dr. King's Dream for America and my family's personal relationship with the Nobel Peace Prize civil rights champion.
