It’s called the Detroit at Work: Education & Training Fair.
The event on June 7, 2017, will allow participants to learn about training and certification opportunities in Information Technology, Skilled Trades, Health Care and more.
Attendees can also enroll in upcoming training and certification courses.
You’ll also be able to speak directly with employers who are looking to hire graduates from these training programs.

10:00am Training Enrollment Sessions begin
There are no fees for the event.
Types of jobs for which training is available will include Culinary Arts, Carpentry/Construction, Environmental Deconstruction, Commercial Drivers (CDL-A), and many others.
More than 100 training positions linked to jobs will be available on the day.
There will probably be 20-to-25 training organizations attending, and about the same number of employers.
Attendees will need:
- Valid driver’s license, state-issued identification, U.S. Passport or Permanent Resident Card
- Social Security card
- Proof of income
- Proof of Veteran Status (if applicable)
Attendees interested in same-day training enrollment must be prepared to spend a minimum of 3 hours to complete the enrollment eligibility process.
Drug testing will be conducted on-site.
The Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation is putting on the resource fair.
