Detroit police investigating several shootings over the weekend

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating several weekend shootings with two turning deadly, as well as a carjacking with victims ages 16 and 19.

On Sunday night, three people died after a shooting at a coney island restaurant on Detroit's west side. A fourth victim is in critical condition.

Additionally, four teenagers between the ages of 15 and 17 have been hospitalized following a drive-by shooting at a birthday party on Detroit's east side.

Another deadly shooting happened Saturday evening at 11:54 p.m. in the 7400 block of W. 7 Mile Road, and was the result of an altercation at a store, police say.

A 26-year-old man was hit when the suspect fired shots. Police say the suspect may have fled the scene in a light blue Cadillac Escalade.

The carjacking happened at 10:40 p.m. on Saturday in the 5700 block of Nottingham. The 16-year-old and 19-year-old victims met up with the suspect, who produced a weapon and fired a gunshot before demanding the victim's black, 2008 Chevy Impala, police say. Non-Fatal Shooting
Preliminary on July 18, 2020 at approximately 10:45 p.m. in the area of E. Warren and Cadillac, allegedly the 33-year-old male victim was driving a silver 2007 Mercedes, when a green Dodge Challenger pulled alongside and someone inside fired shots striking the victim. The victim continued driving and stopped in the 4800 block of Gray where medics and police were called. The victim was transported to a local hospital. No condition of the victim at this time. Non-Fatal Shooting
Preliminary on July 18, 2020 at approximately 11:20 p.m. in the 14000 block of Whitcomb., allegedly the 60-year-old female victim was sitting on her porch when two unknown vehicles were drove by and the occupants started firing shots at each other. The victim received a grazed wound to the body. She was transported to a local hospital by medics and listed in stable condition. Non-Fatal Shooting

Preliminary on July 19, 2020 at approximately 1:10 a.m. in the 19100 block of Evergreen, during an altercation, the suspect fired shots, striking the 58-year-old male victim in the body. The victim was transported to a local hospital by medics and listed in temp-serious condition. The known suspect is only described as a black male, 62. Non-Fatal Shooting
Preliminary on July 19, 2020 at approximately 2:10 a.m. in the 7800 block of Senator, the 23-year-old male victim was shot and transported to a local hospital by medics. He was listed in temp-serious condition. The circumstances pertaining to this incident are unknown at this time. Non-Fatal Shooting
Preliminary on July 19, 2020 at approximately 5:30 a.m. in the area of Grand River and Plymouth, the 32-year-old male victim was shot and privately conveyed to a local hospital. He was listed in critical condition. The circumstances pertaining to this incident are unknown at this time.
